Tom Kizzia

This film is a presentation by author and journalist Tom Kizzia about Josie Rudolph Thurnauer, the first white settler girl born inside the muddy wooden fortress of American Sitka. This incredible story begins with her birth in 1869 under the U.S. flag in Alaska and her escape, decades later, from the Holocaust in Nazi Germany.
